"Salutations, my children, are you ready for your daily dose of smooth jazz?" - Kelpy G, "The Thing"

Kelpy G model

Kelpy G is a famous clarinet player who Squidward admires. He first appears in the episode "The Thing."

Description[]

Kelpy G's appearance is like most octopuses in the show: tall and teal with four legs. He has long, light brown hair and a regular brown mustache. He wears an orange, long-sleeve turtleneck with three red stripes on it. However, in "Smoothe Jazz at Bikini Bottom," he wears leather black shoes that look like SpongeBob's and a long purple dress-shirt.

In the third movie, Kelpy G has darker and curly hair. He also now wears a golden chain around his neck, and a red shirt with white full sleeves. He also has less stress marks on his forehead.

He seems to be a very mellow octopus who believes in peace and tranquility.

SpongeBob finally figures it out and they both can go backstage to meet Kelpy G.

Squidward and, now at the concert area tries to get rid of SpongeBob by making him wait at a long Lemonade Stand line, but is unsuccessful. During the concert Patrick ends up eating SpongeBob and Squidward's Backstage passes, angering Squidward.

Squidward and SpongeBob both attempt to impress Kelpy G. Squidward begins to play the clarinet, while SpongeBob plays the ukulele. Kelpy G is impressed with SpongeBob's ukulele playing. The fans wait for Kelpy G to come, and he does, but there is a partner with him, who happens to be SpongeBob. Squidward comes out on the stage to prove that he is better. In the latter, Squidward attempts to meet Kelpy G but gets kicked out as SpongeBob plays with the musician.
