Description

Mary is a semi-anthropomorphic elegant and posh snail. Her owner is Monica. She is a cyan and light green snail with pink lips, dark blue irises, and eyelashes. Her shell is lavender, with a dark purple swirl. She has a bow that is red with white polka dots on the top of her shell.

She looks similar both to Squidward's temporary pet Snellie and to Mrs. Puff's longtime pet Annette. A 2019 Sponge Master Instagram post from Nickelodeon Latin America conflates Annette (owner being Mrs. Puff), Snellie (name), and Mary (appearance).

Role in episode

While at the Snail Park, Gary sees an attractive female snail on whom he develops a crush, who just so happens to be Mary. She likes him for a short time, however, she falls in love with Brad's snail, Billy.

• She is the prettiest female snail, because 5 guys were after her.
• Mary appeared in The SpongeBob Challenge commercial that aired in October 2016, where she raced against Gary and Snellie.
